Hi everyone, this is the first blog for World Flex Studies, we hope to have lots of interesting conversations here in relation to studying abroad. If you’re a student, parent, administrator, or just someone curious about going overseas you’re all welcome to join in the conversation!

For this first blog I wanted to talk a little about new forms of free or very cheap communication which can be used from overseas or to stay in touch with friends. Currently one of the best ways I know how to do this is through Skype, but there are other companies emerging which are even cheaper then Skype or offer other services, like those offered by Rebtel (www.rebtel.com). So if anyone has heard of any new companies or methods of inexpensive international communications we would love to hear from you about your experiences with these companies.
